Dear Shanghai – Hellou! Tässä muutama kuva viimeiseltä Shanghain reissulta. I know, aina mää puhun vaan Shanghaista. Arvatkaa mihin lähen huomenna? Jep, aivan oikein… Pian meillä kuitenkin vaihtuu hotelli Shanghaissa, joten sitten tulee ainakin vähän erilaisia maisemaotoksia ikkunasta, heheh. Ostin tuollasen lentokonerannekorun viime reissulla eli nyt oon sitten ihan täydellinen lentoemäntä, eikö? Räpsin myös hulluna kuvia siltä meidän sight seeing-kierrokselta Helsingin yllä. Ei niistä hirveesti näe, mutta tuossa nyt on Vallisaari ja Suomenlinna. Kohta lähtään leffaan! Eipä oo tullu käytyä leffassa piiiitkään aikaan, Madridissa varmaan viimeksi. Siellä leffalippu maksoi ehkä 5 euroa. Täällä 15 euroa. Siinä ehkä kiteytettynä, miksi ei tuu juuri käytyä 😀 Kivaa viikonloppua!

Dear Shanghai – Hey! Here’s a few pictures from my last Shanghai trip. I know, I’m always just talking about Shanghai. Guess where I’m going tomorrow? Yes, exactly… We will soon change in to a different hotel in Shanghai, so at least there will be a different view from the window, heheh. I bought this airplane bracelet last time so now I’m a perfect stewardess, right? I took a lot of photos from the sight seeing round over Helsinki. Can’t see so much from the photos, but here are Suomenlinna and Vallisaari. Soon we will go to movies! I haven’t been to movies for so long time, last time was in Madrid, I think. There the ticket cost something like 5 euros. Here it is 15 euros. Maybe that’s why I never go to movies here 😀 Have a great weekend!

Beijing – Vähän aikaa sitten pyörähdin Pekingissä! Vähän vaihtelua siihen Shanghaihin (jonne muuten lennän taas huomenna…). Pekingissä meidän hotellin lähelläkin on kauppoja ja jotain nähtävää, mikä on tosi kiva, ettei tarvi lähtä väsyneenä mihinkään kauas. Käytiin parin kollegan kanssa vähän shoppailemassa, syömässä ja aistimassa markkinatunnelmaa. Ruoka oli tosi hyvää, mutta kesken aterian nähtiin jotain ei-niin-ruokahalua-herättävää. Tarjoilija oli just viemässä annosta johonkin pöytään, kun asiakas toisesta pöydästä sattui juuri aivastamaan suoraan siihen ohimenevälle lautaselle. Mitä teki tarjoilija? Vei ruuan muitta mutkitta pahaa aavistamattoman asiakkaan eteen. Tuli siinä vaan miettineeksi, että mitähän on mahtanut tapahtua meidän ruuille, ennen kuin ne tuli meidän pöytään…

Käytiin myös pikainen mutka markkinoilla, missä myydään lähinnä ruokaa ja krääsää. Ruuaksi lasketaan siis myös nuo kaikenmaailman torakat sun muut, jotka odotteli loppuaan sätkytellen noihin tikkuihin seivästettynä. Me otettiin kuvia torakoista, ja jotku paikalliset miehet otti kuvia meistä. Ehkä siinä on joku yhteys… Mun turmioksi koitui Miniso, sellanen ihana tilpehöörikauppa. Turmioksi lähinnä siksi, että olin pienellä laukulla liikkeellä, joten aika tarkkaan sai pakata, että nuo mun ostokset mahtui mukaan. Hotellille palatessa odotteli yllätys, nimittäin naapurihuoneen vieraat poltteli tupakkaa ja savu kantautui mun huoneeseen. Hotellin henkilökunta toi mun huoneeseen jonku ilmanpuhdistimen, mutta eipä se mitään auttanut, kun savua tuli kokoajan lisää, kun tyypit jatko polttelua. Siitä vaan sitten aamulla töihin virkapuku tupakalta haisten. Fresh. Mutta noin muuten Pekingin keikka oli oikein kiva 🙂

Huomenna lennänkin taas Shanghaihin. Mukavaa tiistaita!

Beijing – Some time ago I flew to Beijing! Something else than Shanghai (where I fly again tomorrow by the way…). In Beijing there are shops and things to see also near our hotel, which is very nice. No need to go anywhere far to do something. We went to do some shopping, eat dinner and visit the market with two of my colleagues. The food in the restaurant was good, but while we were eating we saw something nasty. A waitress was just taking someone’s food to the table, when another customer just happened to sneeze right onto that other customer’s food that the waitress was delivering. And what did the waitress do? She just took the food to that poor customer, who apparently didn’t see what happened. Just made us wonder what had happened to our food before it reached us…

We also visited the market place quickly. There they mostly sell food and all kinds of cheap stuff. Food, like those cockroaches and other creatures that floundered in the sticks waiting to be grilled. We took pictures of the cockroaches while some local men took pictures of us. There must be some connection… We went to this lovely shop called Miniso, that sells everything. And it’s very cheap. I bought quite a lot of stuff and had a really hard time fitting them all into my small suitcase. A nice surprise was waiting for me when we got back to the hotel. My room was full of tobacco smoke since my neighbors were smoking in their room. The hotel staff brought an air cleaner to my room, but it didn’t help much since the people continued smoking. So the next morning I just got back to work with my smoke smelling uniform. Fresh. But otherwice this Beijing trip was a very nice one 🙂

So tomorrow I’ll fly to Shanghai again. Have a good Tuesday!

Hellou! Tässä muutamat kuvat mitä tuli Shanghaissa otettua. Otin enemmänkin kuvia Snapchatin kautta, mutta ne hävis jossain välissä, vissiin sen wifihässäkän takia. Niinkuin edellisessä postauksessa kerroin, en oikeen jaksanut lähtä mihinkään kauemmas, vaan olin vaan siinä hotellin lähistöllä. Ens kerralla vois kyllä mennä vaikka ihan sinne keskustaankin, parin viikon päästä on taas Shanghain lento tulossa. Oon päättäny, etten syö karkkia reissuilla hotelleissa, joten ostan yleensä jotain hedelmiä tai pähkinöitä naposteltavaksi. Lämpimissä kohteissa, kuten vaikka Bangkokissa, tuoreet hedelmät onkin niinku karkkia. Myös nuo kuvassa olevat kookossipsit on hyvä karkin korvike. Kuivattu mango on toinen suosikki. Suoraan Shanghaista tulinkin käymään pohjoisessa, ihan vähän pienemmällä paikkakunnalla. Mukavaa tasapainoa ympäri maailman matkustamiselle! Kivaa viikonlopun alkua 🙂

Hey there! Here are those few pictures I took in Shanghai. I took some more photos through Snapchat, but they disappeared at some point, maybe because of the wifi problems in the hotel. Like I wrote in the last post, I was too lazy to go anywhere, so I stayed near the hotel. Next time I could actually go to the center too, I have my next Shanghai flight in a few weeks. I have decided not to eat any sweets during my trips in the hotels, so normally I buy some fruits or nuts for snacks. In the warm destinations the fruits are actually like sweets. Also those coconut chips in the pic are a great alternative to candy. My other favorite is dried mango. I came to the north straight from Shanghai, to a little bit smaller village. A nice balance for the traveling around the world! Have a nice starting weekend 🙂

Tässä muutamia elokuussa otettuja kuvia puhelimen kätköistä. Niinkuin aikaisemmin sanoin, tässä kuussa mulla on ollu tosi paljon töitä, mutta on sitä näköjään tullut jotain muutakin tehtyä. Kävin mökillä ja vanhempien luona, jumppasin, söin, vähän shoppailinkin ja jatkoin (tai aloitin uudelleen…) arabian opiskelun. En sitten oo vasenkätinen, niinku kuvassa näyttää, mutta musta on helpompi kirjottaa vasemmalla kädellä oikealta vasemmalle menevää tekstiä. Mulla oli paljon aikaisia aamuja ja välillä tulin töihin niin aikaisin, ettei edes meidän tiloissa ollut vielä muita! Nyt kirjottelen Shanghaista. En oo mikään suurin Kiina-fani, joten en jaksanu lähtä käymään sen kummemmin missään. Hotellille tultua nukuin ja kävin sitten vähän käveleskelemässä ja kaupassa. Nyt istun crew loungessa koneeni kanssa, koska tällä kertaa hotellin wifi ei toimi huoneissa… Kyllä onkin orpo olo, kun ei oo nettiä puhelimessa! Aamulla lähtään takas Helsinkiin ja sitten meenkin taas käymään pohjoisessa.

Here are a few pics from my phone from the last weeks. Like I mentioned before, I had a lot of work this month, but seems like I did also something else than just work. I visited my parents and the summerhouse, exercised, ate, shopped a little and continued (or started again…) studying arabic. I’m not left handed, like it seems in the picture, but I find it easier to write with left hand this text going from right to left. I had really early mornings and some days I came to work so early, that even none of my colleagues where there! Just me in the empty hallways. Now I’m in Shanghai. I’m not the biggest fan of China, so I didn’t really go anywhere here. When we came to the hotel I slept and then I went out for a walk and to buy some food. Now I’m in the crew lounge with my computer, because the wifi doesn’t work in rooms this time. Feels so weird to not have internet on the phone! In the morning we fly back to Helsinki and then I go again to the north.

Tämän viikon alkupuolella äiti tuli käymään mun luona ja päätettiin lähtä käymään Vallisaaressa. Koko kesän oon ajatellut, että pitäis käydä siellä, ja nyt sitten vihdoin tuli käytyä. Suosittelen! Laivamatka kauppatorilta kestää noin 20 minuuttia ja menopaluu maksaa 7 euroa. Ihania merimaisemia, polkuja, vanhoja puita ja rakennuksia ja mahtavat näkymät Helsinkiin. Oon kyllä niin utelias, että olisin halunnu päästä näkemään sisälle niihin vanhoihin taloihin ja kallion sisälle rakennettuihin luoliin, mutta nyt piti tyytyä katseleen ulkopuolelta.

Tässä juuri päivystän kentällä ja lähden kohta käymään mutkan Tukholmassa. Kivaa viikonloppua!

Earlier this week my mom came to visit me and we decided to visit Vallisaari. The whole summer I’ve been thinking I should go there and now I finally did. I recommend! The boat trip from the center takes around 20 minutes and the return ticket costs 7 euros. Lovely landscapes, pathways, old trees and buildings and great views to Helsinki. I’m so curious I would have liked to see the buildings from the inside too, but this time I only had to see from outside.

Right now I’m at the airport on a standby and soon I’ll do a return trip to Stockholm. Have a good weekend!
